Although a string player, guitar, violin, and teacher of Bluegrass banjo my overall attention is classical music particularly the Baroque period and this is furthered with the attraction of the sound of the Moog re-interpreting these pieces and lifting them to further heights.
Unable to afford a really top grade violin in my teens , I resorted to making one instead and ditto with the Moog 3C although I began this particular project 15 years ago and am just adding the final touches to this complete and faithful replica.
I never cease to marvel at the beautiful tonality of the primitive yet human/timbrel quality of the 901b Oscillators.
I have 2-3 pieces on U-tube at the moment with more coming up of a much better standard as the 3C has progressed. Each piece can take many weeks until I am almost/but never quite satisfied with the overall result.
These will be put onto U-tube until eventually a full CD of transcriptions are made.
